Have you ever gotten lost in your head, your thoughts running in circles worrying about a job or a presentation or even a challenging conversation that you are about to have? This three step process will return you to a sense of grounded ease so you can step forward with confidence. It can be a great tool for older kids nervous about embarking on new experiences, too!

Our knowledge and understanding in the power of gratitude has grown over the years and today there are many powerful voices championingit including Lorraine Miller, Gabby Bernstein, Kate Northrup, Kyle Gray, etc. In my own life gratitude has aided in the manifestation of peace, abundance and miracles with help from these experts and more. The three step process below is my own compilation of the power of gratitude, of reframing, and of launching future success as an extension of the gifts of past and present.

This is an excellent activity to utilize as a writing exercise if you have the opportunity. Sometimes even the act of writing can help you step out of the circles in your head and return to a tactile experience of reality. If you don't have pen and paper handy, or happen to be in the car, go ahead and talk through each step out loud. Take your time with each one and allow yourself to think of non-conventional, perhaps even seemingly insignificant, answers. Every little bit will bring you closer to the truth - that you are beyond capable for anything that arises in your life.

Step One: Past Success

Think back to an experience you had similar to the one you're about to embark on that went extremely well. Was there a time in your life when your worst fear came true but it ended up not being nearly as bad as you thought? Express gratitude for these moments in your past.

Step Two: Present Resources

Now return to the present moment and express gratitude for the skill set or support you have in this moment. It could be that you have all your notes ready for your next presentation. That you have a friend that you can call the moment you finish the job or project. That you have the opportunity to experience this new job, project, presentation or conversation at all!

Step Three: Future Knowing

Finally, we're going to take it one step further. Take a moment to express gratitude for your ideal outcome. "I am so grateful for a job well done, I am so grateful I spoke calmly and from a place of authenticity, or I am so grateful to share and be heard."
